Sanctions Compliance Policy
Effective: January 2026 Version 1.0 Qatar
Important: MoonGate provides administrative and commercial coordination services only and does not provide legal, financial, investment, banking, tax, or regulated brokerage services.
01 Policy Commitment
MoonGate is committed to full compliance with applicable international sanctions regimes. MoonGate will not knowingly facilitate any transaction, introduction, or coordination activity involving sanctioned parties, jurisdictions, or activities.
02 Applicable Sanctions Regimes
MoonGate monitors and complies with applicable sanctions from:
- United States — OFAC (SDN List, sector-specific, country-based sanctions)
- United Nations Security Council Consolidated Sanctions List
- European Union Restrictive Measures
- United Kingdom Financial Sanctions Targets
- State of Qatar — applicable sanctions obligations
- GCC collective sanctions frameworks where applicable
03 Restricted Jurisdictions
MoonGate does not engage in transactions involving parties or activities connected to comprehensively sanctioned jurisdictions, including but not limited to: North Korea, Iran (comprehensive), Cuba, Syria, and Russia (certain sectors). This list is non-exhaustive and subject to change. Users must verify current sanctions status independently.
04 Screening Procedures
MoonGate conducts preliminary sanctions screening of parties against the lists identified above before facilitating commercial engagement. Screening is conducted at onboarding and may be repeated during the course of a relationship. MoonGate's screening is a coordination step and does not constitute a legal compliance clearance.
05 Sanctions Hits
Where a preliminary screening result suggests a potential match against a sanctions list, MoonGate will: (1) immediately suspend engagement with the relevant party; (2) conduct enhanced review; and (3) decline engagement where a match is confirmed. MoonGate will not tip off any party subject to a sanctions review.
06 User Obligations
All users and counterparties are independently responsible for complying with sanctions laws applicable in their jurisdiction. MoonGate's preliminary screening does not relieve any party of its independent sanctions compliance obligations. Each party must conduct real-time, independent sanctions screening before committing to any transaction.
07 Policy Updates
This policy is reviewed regularly to reflect changes in applicable sanctions regimes. Users are responsible for staying informed of sanctions developments relevant to their activities.
